Here is a commissioned portrait that I finished recently. The idea of adding the stained glass window to the background had me a bit concerned, at first. The strength and intensity of it could easily take over, and visually overpower the happy couple. I think that toning down the brightness of the glass colors and lightening the value of the leaded outlines between them kept the window "in its place".This was a joy to create! I'm wishing many years of love and happiness to these newlyweds!

Beautiful work, as always. The stained glass gives the piece an almost Klimt-like styling.
